The U14 Orillia Ice Dogs made up of players born in 2007 claimed this weekends King of the Rings title in North York.
Team Members include: Goalie Aaron Wilson (#1), Mason Taylor-Wood (#4), Zach Raaphorst (#6), Tanner Thayer (#10), Jackson Hawrelak (#18), Ryan Warwick (#19), Reece Cordeiro (#55), Ryder Bjaanes (#88) and Matthew Landriault (#91). Coach is Scott Bjaanes.
The team went 4-1 for the weekend with a 7-2 victory over Summer Heat in the semi-final to advance to the final. In the Championship game the Ice Dogs would score 6 unanswered goals to start the game and cruise to a 9-4 victory over Simcoe County.
The King of the Rings tournament is one of the summers most prestigious tournaments in which the players win championship rings for winning the tourney.
